Evaluation of acute oral toxicity of a natural growth promoter for poultry

چکیده
Minimizing the use of antibiotics is a major concern poultry producers, largely due to increase in antibiotic resistance, and phytobiotics are gaining popularity as natural replacer growth promoter broilers. Nbiotic™ (M/s Ayurvet Limited, India) complete herbal for poultry. This study aimed evaluate potential elicit acute oral toxicity per OECD 423 guidelines. Three female Wistar rats were used study, where each animal served its own control. Following administration test substance, animals observed manifestation toxic effects mortality. No or mortalities till day 14 was found safe use.
